In 2015, our chalet was erected right on the site where our old family farm house used to be. It had been my idea for years as the old house had been relinquished and abandoned for too long. But there are things in life, however, that need time to mature - the same here.

In my childhood days this has always been a place of history and stories alike. We children were told that just two kilometers away 19th/20th century personalities like the Austrian Empress "Sissi" or the German author brothers Thomas and Heinrich Mann were guests in one the most frequented spa of those days.

The Ulten valley has been renowned for its ferrous and mineral-containing waters for centuries. The German names of some villages still tell about this fame and relate to the healing power of the wells: Mitterbad, Bad Lad, Überwasser. Even if nowadays the old spa buildings decay, the wells are still highly appreciated and frequented by the locals - and maybe soon by you as well ...
